Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Maintenance Representative to keep the hotel running smoothly, handle repairs, and support guests. Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance or repair experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, a building management programme, and/or reporting tools like HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance knowledge.
• CPO certification preferred if a hotel pool exists.
• Able to stand for long periods and bend/kneel as required.
• Comply with local laws on food handling and alcohol service; fluent in local language.
• Strong communication and guest-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish rooms.
• Organise supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Maintain safety standards and report incidents or hazards.
• Oversee safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel.
• Follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep systems efficient.
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to guests.
• Keep supervisor informed about low running supplies.
• Maintain a neat, approachable appearance in uniform.
• Take on extra duties as needed.
