Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support inspection, repairs, and ongoing maintenance across hotel facilities. The role may require flexible scheduling and the ability to work with a team or independently to keep buildings and common areas in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, exterior work, and equipment repairs, with a focus on safety and guest service. Training and health/safety guidelines are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain hotel systems and equipment
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance
• Perform painting, roof repairs and exterior projects
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment if needed
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs
• Check stock levels of consumables and restock when needed
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and management on technical projects
• Prepare shift reports for the management team
• Respond to maintenance needs during weather events or emergencies
