Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of hotel systems and equipment. The role requires flexibility for scheduling and the ability to work on a team or independently while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance, perform painting and exterior repairs, and handle preventative maintenance, reporting to management as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a highly motivated team player with initiative and achievement
• Ability to handle problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Strong guest service orientation and willingness to assist guests in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance.
• Perform painting, roof repairs, and other exterior projects as needed.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment when required.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Check stock levels of consumables and reorder as needed.
• Work with Chief Engineer and Management on technical projects.
• Prepare shift reports for management.
