Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment. You will work independently or with the team, following safety guidelines to keep buildings and public areas in top condition.

The role may require flexible scheduling and a hands-on approach to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and preventative maintenance tasks, with opportunities to support exterior projects and emergency responses as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to recognize and report safety hazards, and follow safety protocols.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance.
• Capable of performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel systems.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies and adapt to a variable schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair a variety of hotel systems and equipment.
• Complete maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and flooring repairs.
• Support exterior projects and pool/fitness equipment maintenance as needed.
• Prepare shift reports for management and coordinate with the Chief Engineer.
• Respond to weather events or emergencies affecting hotel property.
