Island Hospitality seeks a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment, ensuring the buildings and common areas stay in top condition. The ideal candidate works well in a team or solo, following health and safety guidelines and delivering outstanding guest service.

The role may require flexible scheduling and the ability to respond to emergencies with short notice, as occupancy and seasons drive hours.

Qualifications

• Experience recognizing and reporting hazards and following safety guidelines.
• Performs basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance.
• Can work solo or in a team.
• Shows initiative and responsiveness to emergencies.
• Reads and completes work orders accurately.
• Familiar with hotel emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Complete repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare reports for management each shift.
• Assist with exterior maintenance and weather-related tasks.
• Respond to emergencies on short notice.
