Job summary

ESA Management, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure property equipment operates correctly and guest rooms are well-maintained. The role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and routine cleaning to uphold ESA standards.

You will follow Green Shield procedures, document inspections, and coordinate with management and vendors to deliver a pristine guest experience in a hotel environment. This is an on-site position at Extended Stay America facilities.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines and standards.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
• Works with minimal supervision while performing all essential duties to satisfaction and within company standards.
• Responds to and assists with all guest requests with diligent follow-through in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
• Performs the out of room cleaning outlined in the Green Shield Binder to ensure premises are maintained in pristine condition.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders and follow the work order process as outlined in the Green Shield Binder.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined in the Green Shield Binder.
• Follows the Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to accomplish tasks timely.
• Maintains records as outlined in the Green Shield Binder (PM deficiencies, inspections, life safety, elevator logs).
• Maintains organized maintenance area and safeguards inventory of tools.
• Keeps boiler rooms, electric rooms, HVAC rooms, and fire sprinkler rooms clean and in compliance.
• Ensures fire safety equipment is operational and inspections are current.
• Complies with OSHA and ADA policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance of pool or spa where applicable.
• Responds to emergencies at the property or sister sites as needed.
• Monitors external vendors as directed by management.
• Assists with cleaning hotel areas when needed.
• Offers employee benefits and perks programs as part of the role.
