Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all property equipment operates correctly and guest rooms remain in good repair. The role requires following the Green Shield Binder, completing maintenance tasks, and coordinating with the management team to uphold company standards.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest requests, and maintain clean, safe facilities across the property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read manuals and follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong math skills for basic calculations and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a 100% commitment to guest experience and associates.
• Works with minimal supervision to perform essential duties.
• Responds to guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Performs out-of-room cleaning and maintains pristine premises, including snow/ice removal when applicable.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined.
• Follows Green Shield Schedule and uses SOPs to complete tasks per standards.
• Keeps organized maintenance areas and safeguards tools inventory daily.
• Keeps boiler rooms, electric/HVAC/fire rooms clean and compliant.
• Ensures fire safety equipment is operational and inspections are current.
• Complies with ESA safety and security policies including OSHA/ADA.
• Supports pool/spa maintenance where applicable.
• Assists with emergencies and coordinates with management and vendors.
