Extended Stay America in Lakeland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure property equipment functions, guest rooms are in good repair, and that all tasks per Green Shield Binder are completed on time. The role involves preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and coordinating with management and vendors.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently and interact with guests, associates and outside vendors.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines and standards.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
• Work with minimal supervision while performing essential duties to satisfaction and within standards.
• Respond to and assist with all guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Perform out-of-room cleaning to keep premises in pristine condition, including trash, interior/exterior areas and snow/ice removal where applicable.
• Perform repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined.
• Follow the Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to accomplish tasks timely.
• Maintain records such as PM deficiencies, Life Safety, Elevator Inspections and non-guest room logs.
• Keep tools and work areas organized and safe; manage inventory daily.
• Maintain boiler, electric, HVAC, and fire safety equipment per standards.
