Job summary

Extended Stay America in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician dedicated to keeping guest rooms and property in excellent condition. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, cleaning duties, and safety inspections while following Green Shield procedures and company standards.

The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, respond promptly to guest requests, and maintain organized workspaces and logs. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
• Works with minimal supervision while performing all essential duties to satisfaction and within company standards.
• Responds to and assists with all guest requests with diligent follow-through in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
• Performs the out of room cleaning to ensure premises are pristine, including trash, grounds, and snow/ice removal when applicable.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined in the Green Shield Binder.
• Follows safety schedules and maintains records per the Green Shield Binder.
• Maintains organized and clean work areas and tool inventories; keeps boiler/electric/HVAC rooms organized.
• Ensures fire safety equipment is operational and inspections are current.
• Complies with ESA safety and security policies, OSHA and ADA.
