Driftwood Hospitality Management in San Diego, CA, seeks an Engineering Manager to oversee preventative maintenance of the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, supervise the engineering team, and ensure the upkeep of the physical plant, FF&E, pool and grounds.

You will lead operations around the clock, coordinate maintenance tasks, ensure safety standards and OSHA compliance, manage vendor contracts, and schedule staff to meet guest and hotel needs while maintaining high quality and

Formación

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance trades (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry).
• Advanced mechanical aptitude for operation, troubleshooting and repair of hotel equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises and coordinates daily activities of the engineering team, assigning work orders and ensuring timely completion.
• Oversees troubleshooting and repair of malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment.
• Ensures completion of preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Oversees maintenance of the hotel’s pool, including chemical balancing, equipment upkeep, and safety standards compliance.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Conducts routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
