Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in San Diego is seeking a Maintenance/Engineering Supervisor to oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of the hotel's mechanical and electrical systems, supervise engineering staff, and ensure the upkeep of the physical plant.

You will manage daily engineering operations, coordinate safety, schedule work orders, monitor inventory, and coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills to motivate and manage a team.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance practices.
• Experience in overseeing HVAC, electrical, and hotel systems maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of the engineering team and assigns work orders.
• Oversees troubleshooting and repair of mechanical/electrical malfunctions (HVAC, plumbing).
• Manages preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintains pool, exterior areas, and safety/compliance records.
• Coordinates with other departments to meet guest and operational needs.
• Assists with vendor management and contract oversight.
• Ensures safety procedures and incidents are properly reported.
