Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance to keep the hotel in top condition. The role requires inspecting rooms, installing electrical fixtures, HVAC equipment, plumbing lines, and kitchen equipment, and maintaining logs.

You may also assist as a bell attendant during peak periods. Applicants should have a high school diploma and relevant trade training; prior engineer/maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps; preventive maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Aim to increase guest satisfaction scores.
• Assist bell attendant during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits per MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
