Job summary
HHM Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance to keep the hotel up to standards of quality and sustainability while ensuring guests are treated warmly and professionally.
The role involves room inspections, repairs, electrical/plumbing work, furniture and fixture maintenance, and keeping detailed maintenance records to comply with codes. It also supports guest satisfaction goals and may require shifts during peak periods.
Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred.
- Trade school coursework in related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
- Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
- Paint designated areas and items.
- Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, and light bulbs.
- Repair furniture.
- Install, replace and program televisions.
- Perform minor plumbing functions.
- Maintain and update preventive maintenance records.
- Ensure work complies with local, state and Federal codes.
- Support guest satisfaction goals through responsive maintenance work.
- Follow safety procedures and MSDS/OSHA guidelines.
