The role requires independence as well as teamwork with hotel staff to keep the property in top condition. The engineer will perform routine inspections, manage preventative maintenance programs, and coordinate with vendors while training staff on safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Qualifications

• Willing to respond to emergencies, including after hours.
• Maintenance knowledge across building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property.
• Ensure preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms and public areas are completed and documented.
• Maintain safety practices and assist in emergency procedures.
• Monitor logs, contracts, and vendor services related to maintenance.
