Job summary

The Morrow, part of HHM Hotels, seeks an Engineer to perform preventive and repair maintenance to uphold quality and sustainability standards while delivering warm guest service.

Growth path includes Engineering Supervisor and Area Chief Engineer, with duties spanning from room inspections to plumbing, electrical, and equipment repair. Must have trade school training and maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
• High School diploma and trade school coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, lighting.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Trace and repair water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing satisfaction.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
