Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry. The role supports the general upkeep of the property, FF&E, pool, and exterior areas, with adherence to safety rules and company policies.

The position requires the ability to troubleshoot, follow detailed instructions, and work in a 24/7 hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to listen, speak, read and write English clearly.
• Experience in a fast-paced hotel environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis (room care).
• Maintains hotel exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Serves the hotel pool: adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; logs maintenance requests.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards, accidents or injuries to supervisor.
