Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance team in Baton Rouge. This role focuses on proactive preventive maintenance, safety, and brand-standard operations across hotel facilities.

You will supervise staff, manage capital projects, and coordinate with other departments to ensure guest comfort and safety. A strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and at least five years in maintenance leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education required; post-secondary preferred.
• Minimum five years in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in hotels.
• Two years of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines preferred.
• Certified pool operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proactive preventive maintenance programs to brand standards (laundry, HVAC, ice machines, etc.).
• Follow safe working practices and conditions; inspect rooms after maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and manage work-order system; prioritize and complete tasks.
