Phoenix American Hospitality LLC is seeking an on-site Engineer to manage daily operations of the Engineering Department in Baton Rouge. You will handle electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems while ensuring guest safety and hotel reliability.

The role demands proactive problem-solving, clear communication with guests and staff, and the ability to make independent decisions under pressure. A hands-on technician with broad trades knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• General knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
• Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property, equipment, grounds and assets in safe repair state.
• Conduct site inspections and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Respond to non-functioning equipment issues immediately.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and safety codes.
• Assist vendor contract administration and special projects as needed.
