Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Anaheim, CA seeks a dynamic Director of Engineering to lead preventive maintenance, safety, and capital projects across a growing portfolio. You will manage a maintenance team, uphold brand standards, and ensure guest rooms and facilities meet high-quality expectations.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance leadership within hotels, with strong leadership, communication, and MS Office skills. An emphasis on safety and guest satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in maintenance leadership position, preferably within hotels.
• High school education required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Two years of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines.
• Certified pool operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proactive preventive maintenance programs meet brand standards for laundry, HVAC, ice machines, fire safety and plumbing.
• Maintains hotel's maintenance and upkeep standards to meet Graduate Brand and Guest expectations.
• Follows safe working practices and conditions.
• Inspects guest rooms after maintenance and manages supply inventories.
• Maintains a work order system and prioritizes timely completion of tasks.
• Oversees pool and spa maintenance per brand standards and health regs.
• Maintains hotel grounds, curb appeal and exteriors; supports guest requests.
• Coordinates and supervises contracted capital projects.
• Educates hotel personnel on emergency procedures and life safety.
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports.
