Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Chief Engineer to lead maintenance across multiple properties in a service-driven environment. The role emphasizes proactive facilities management, safety, and team leadership to ensure top-tier guest experiences.

Minimum five years in leadership, with hotel maintenance preferred; high school education required. A strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and pool operations is essential. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School education required; post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a maintenance leadership position, preferably within hotels.
• Two years of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline preferred.
• Certified pool operator certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensures proactive preventative maintenance programs to brand standards including laundry equipment, HVAC, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing.
• Follows safe working practices and conditions.
• Inspects guest rooms after maintenance and communicates issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintains current inventory of all supplies.
• Maintains a work order system and prioritizes/completes tasks timely; monitors deficiencies.
• Ensures pool and spa maintenance meets brand standards and health regulations.
• Maintains hotel grounds, curb appeal and building exteriors.
• Assists other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve concerns.
• Coordinates and supervises all contracted capital projects.
• Educates hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions.
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports.
• Participates in regular property walkthroughs and fixes deficiencies promptly.
• Operates as part of the emergency life-safety team; aware of hazards.
