Job summary

Stonebridge Companies at Marriott Hotel Saddle Brook, NJ, seeks a Line Cook to prepare and cook meals to the hotel’s standards under a chef’s supervision. You will assist in breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service while maintaining high food consistency and safety.

The role requires an Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience, plus Safe Serve certification and strong time management.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation methods, including pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
• Ability to follow recipes and use cooking metrics for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares ingredients for the shift before service begins.
• Operates the cooking station safely and efficiently.
• Prepares food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and adheres to sanitation standards at all times.
