Job summary

Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport is seeking a skilled kitchen supervisor to train, supervise and collaborate with all chefs’ staff to prepare and present food according to hotel standard recipes.

Responsibilities include assigning duties, selecting and training kitchen staff, ensuring proper receipt, storage and rotation of food, maintaining health department compliance, and supporting VIP events and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food handler certification and CPR preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to employees for efficient kitchen operation.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff in menu item preparation.
• Ensure proper receipt, storage and rotation of food per Health Dept regulations.
• Adhere to cost and quality control procedures.
• Prepares requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
• Report equipment issues and assist with VIP events.
• Assist with staff meetings and varied shift coverage.
