Job summary

Hyatt Place Bloomington, IN is seeking a line cook to produce food that meets hotel standards and guest expectations. You will follow standard recipes, maintain a clean, organized station, and work closely with the Kitchen Manager to deliver quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires safe food handling knowledge, physical stamina to stand most of the shift and lift up to 30 pounds, and strong teamwork and communication. Benefits include medical, dental, PTO, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fundamental principles and procedures of food preparation.
• Ability to stand for most of the shift and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Attention to detail and customer service orientation.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Produce food that meets hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Keep work station clean and organized.
• Prepare a minimum of 200 covers in an 8 hour shift.
• Adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standards and recipes.
• Communicate with Kitchen Manager and co-workers.
• Follow OSHA requirements and practice safe working habits.
• Attend required food handlers course and complete tasks from Kitchen/General Manager.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changes; maintain confidentiality of company information.
