Job summary

Kaskaid Hospitality in Bloomington, MN is seeking dedicated cooks to prepare all food items according to standard recipes within time limits. You will assist in basic dessert prep, manage prep lists, and handle raw ingredients safely while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.

This hourly role requires flexibility across a seven-day schedule. The ideal candidate can read and understand English, follow instructions, and work well in a team.

• Able to read and understand English.
• “ServSafe” certification is a plus.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements.

• Maintain skills to safely operate kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, dishwasher, slicers, coffee machines, steamer, mixers, chef's knives, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items, following standard recipes and procedures.
• Assist cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items.
• Preps assigned items according to Prep Lists and par levels.
• Store and properly handle raw or prepared foods and supplies.
• Measures and assembles ingredients for standard recipes; cuts portions of meat, fish, poultry.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas.
• Maintain safe, sanitary workstation conditions.
• Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and cost.
• Maintain personal hygiene and dress code compliance.
• Follow safety regulations and report injuries or unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service training as assigned.
• Follow all uniform, grooming, safety and sanitation rules.
