Job summary

Graceland, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Full‑time Housekeeping Supervisor for The Guest House at Graceland. The role primarily covers evening shifts with a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

The supervisor will lead and train Room Attendants and related staff, ensure hotel standards, coordinate with front desk, and manage room status and cleaning workflows across public areas and guest rooms.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and inspect the performance of Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Turndown Attendants, and Floor Attendants to hotel standards.
• Assist to ensure optimum guest service and satisfaction.
• Communicate with front desk management for information to relay to staff.
• Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
• Verify laundry staffing productivity and proper operation of machines.
• Anticipate guests' needs and maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Verify room status on the A.M. report and update status of check-out rooms; inspect two rooms daily.
• Coordinate breaks, distribute assignments, assign keys and phones, and maintain staff records.
• Inspect supply levels of floor closets and carts; ensure neatness and readiness.
• Inspect rooms and provide direct feedback to attendants for deficiencies.
• Update room status after approving cleanliness and condition per standards.
• Check vacant rooms and discrepant statuses; update accordingly.
• Check DND rooms and verify status.
• Ensure bed sheets are changed where necessary by Room Attendants.
• Inspect public areas, bathrooms, fitness center, pool, offices, and service areas and address deficiencies.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and coordinate with Engineering for urgent issues.
• Conduct staff training and provide coaching or counseling as needed.
• Provide feedback on staff performance to the manager.
• Complete all paperwork and closing duties and review status with the manager or incoming supervisor.
• Check PM reports for accuracy and perform night counts per standards.
