Highgate Hotels is seeking a General Manager for Residence Inn Portland/Scarborough in Maine. The role focuses on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and guest satisfaction while developing employees and maintaining brand standards.

The GM will lead department heads, supervise budget processes, and ensure compliance with Highgate SOPs. Responsibilities include sales activities, training programs, and ensuring timely financial reviews and performance appraisals.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 6 years progressive hotel-related experience, or 4-year college degree with 4–5 years related experience, or 2-year college degree with 5–6 years related experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop managers and staff through training and corporate programs.
• Forecast monthly financial position and analyze data for reforecasting and cost control.
• Oversee budget processes, ensure adherence to standards and procedures across departments.

Aufgaben

• Tour operating departments daily and adjust as needed through department heads.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and training aligned with Highgate standards.
• Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs on schedule.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews with managers and supervisors.
• Ensure departments maintain productivity levels and proper accounting procedures.
• Develop managers for future advancement through competency training.
• Lead daily HHBR meetings with the Director of Sales to drive prospecting and account activity.
• Drive hotel sales efforts by calling top accounts, meeting clients, and hosting events.
