Job summary

Residence Inn Cleveland Independence, OH is seeking a General Manager to lead hotel operations, mentor teams, and uphold InnVentures values while delivering strong financial results for owners.

You will guide, coach and motivate staff to provide personalized service, manage daily operations, and collaborate with Revenue Management to maximize revenues and market share. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years progressive hotel experience; or a 4-year college degree with 2+ years related experience.
• Must communicate effectively with all levels of staff and guests.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions.
• Maintain warmth, friendliness, and service orientation.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; participate in MOD coverage.
• Comply with InnVentures standards and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to understand and evaluate complex information to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, support, coach and mentor department managers and their teams.
• Champion great service and empower staff to take care of our guests.
• Cultivate relationships with guests to develop loyalty and satisfaction.
• Resolve guest and employee issues to their satisfaction.
• Monitor daily tasks to ensure SOPs are followed.
• Assist with benefits administration, payroll and HR tasks including recognition.
• Support and contribute to the proactive sales efforts of the sales team on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure proper emergency procedures are communicated and followed.
• Conduct property inspections to ensure the hotel is a clean, safe and secure environment.
• Plan for success with staff meetings, action plans and daily huddles.
• Strategize with Revenue Management to maximize revenues and grow market share.
• Prepare various financial reports for management and owners.
