Job summary

Hyatt Place New York City / Times Square is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead hotel operations, drive profitability, and deliver outstanding guest and associate experiences. The GM will oversee operations, sales, revenue, guest satisfaction, staffing, maintenance, financial performance, and team development.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a Hotel General Manager, Hyatt experience preferred, and a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Hotel General Manager required.
Hyatt experience highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
Proven success managing hotel operations, revenue, budgets, and P&L.
Strong leadership skills with experience recruiting, developing, and retaining teams.
Excellent guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a high-volume NYC or urban hotel environment strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of labor and expense controls.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, sales, revenue, staffing, maintenance, and financial performance.
Lead the Management Team to achieve operational excellence, brand standards, and asset protection.
Drive profitability and sustainable growth through labor and expense controls.
