Job summary

ARK is seeking a General Manager to oversee all hotel operations, maximizing financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development in line with our vision, mission, and core values. This role requires a self-starter who can manage operations with 24-hour availability at a West Virginia property.

Responsibilities include hiring and training all staff, enforcing health, safety, and licensing standards, and driving service excellence across departments to meet quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret business-related materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Physical ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.

• Conduct daily check-ins with department teams and lead training meetings to uphold service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Lead staff training meetings and ensure operational checklists and safety protocols are followed.
• Recruit, train, and mentor hotel staff, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.

The General Manager (GM) is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel in accordance with our vision and mission statement and core values. The General Manager’s responsibilities include the maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards. The General Manager is also responsible for the hiring and training of all hotel staff. As a leader, we’re looking for a self-starter and understand the position requires 24-hour availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one to three years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret business correspondence, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
