Job summary

Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel is seeking a full-time Hotel Engineer (Level 1) to monitor, maintain, and execute the preventive maintenance program for the property's HVAC and related systems. The role reports to Chief Engineer and involves hands-on repairs, filter changes, coil cleaning, and motor replacements.

The ideal candidate will perform sustained heavy work, handle tasks safely, and contribute to a hotel environment with a focus on reliability and guest comfort.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining hotel HVAC and related systems.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, and electrical equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain and execute the preventive maintenance program for HVAC and building systems.
Make repairs to hotel air-conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (boilers, chillers, electrical, etc).
Demonstrate ability to perform heavy work including lifting up to 100 pounds as needed.
