Job summary

Westin BWI, part of HEI Hotels and Resorts, is seeking a hotel Maintenance role responsible for keeping building systems and the guest environment safe and functional. You will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and routine upkeep to ensure high standards of cleanliness and operation.

The position involves working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry trades, with a focus on energy efficiency and compliance with health and safety codes.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing or Carpentry.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain the hotel and keep product quality standards.
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain pool equipment and chemical levels; record logs.
• Move furniture and fixtures and refurbish as needed.
• Respond to guest questions and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
