Job summary

Aloft Santa Clara is seeking an experienced F&B Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, including the restaurant and bar. You will supervise cooks, bartenders, and food runners, train new staff, and ensure service standards, guest satisfaction, and safety guidelines are met.

The role requires 1–2 years in F&B, a high school diploma, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospitality coursework or certifications preferred.
• 1–2 years of food and beverage experience required.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience in restaurant, bar, or banquet operations a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and alcohol service regulations.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and team coordination skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily operations of assigned F&B outlet(s).
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Ensure service standards, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction targets are met.
• Monitor dining areas, bar stations, and service flow during peak periods.
• Assist with scheduling, breaks, and shift coverage as needed.
• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support inventory, ordering, and restocking processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
