Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of related experience, or a high school diploma plus seven years of related experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, including proper use, storage, and first aid for cleaning products.
• Excellent customer service skills with empathy and proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to input information using a moderately complex computer.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with excellent telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute housekeeping strategies to exceed guest satisfaction, cleanliness standards, and revenues.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to enhance the department.
• Involved in hiring, interviewing, training, and evaluating staff.
• Ensure staff are trained to standards and can perform department functions.
• Provide ongoing training and development for staff and supervisors.
• Perform or assist with cleaning duties as needed.
• Investigate complaints and take corrective action.
• Manage room reports, identify discrepant rooms, and update statuses.
• Conduct daily line-ups and housekeeping department meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Fire Department Safety codes and OSHA guidelines.
• Oversee staff attendance, documentation, and disciplinary measures as needed.
• Monitor staffing levels to meet occupancy demands and complete inventories.
• Document information in department logs and incident forms.
• Drive talent acquisition and retention through training and recognition.
• Provide feedback to the room director or General Manager.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to resolve disciplinary problems.
