Job summary

The Industrialist in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and brand standards. This role supports staff training, inspections, supply control, and efficient departmental operations while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Supervision extends to Room Attendants, House Attendants, and Laundry Attendants, with guidance from the Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospitality coursework or certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment; supervisory/lead experience is a plus.
• Experience with housekeeping software or PMS systems (HotSOS, OnQ, Opera, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily operations.
• Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness and compliance with brand standards.
• Assist with training new employees on cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure carts, closets, and supply rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Address guest requests and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
• Report maintenance concerns and ensure timely follow-up.
• Monitor productivity and assist with scheduling and labor management.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, assignments, and supply usage.
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
