Job summary

Concord Hospitality in Everett, WA is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the property engineering team, oversee maintenance operations, and ensure safety, functionality, and quality of the hotel's infrastructure.

You will manage repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, supervise staff, control budgets, and ensure compliance with OSHA and brand standards while fostering growth and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety, and HVAC operations.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop maintenance staff in hospitality.
• Effective communicator with strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with safety and compliance standards (OSHA, local codes).
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage emergency response situations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform repairs and routine maintenance of hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Oversee inventory, procurement, budgeting, safety compliance, and annual inspections/certifications.
• Ensure all hotel accommodations meet safety standards for guests and provide a secure environment for associates.
• Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate engineering staff; promote team development and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with Concord Hospitality standards and brand protocols.
• Communicate property conditions and safety concerns to General Manager and ownership.
• Lead safety programs, preventive maintenance schedules, and energy conservation initiatives.
