Job summary

Concord Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s engineering team, ensuring safety, functionality, and quality of infrastructure and systems. This leadership role oversees maintenance operations, compliance, and team development in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The Chief Engineer will drive preventive maintenance, energy conservation, and safety programs while aligning with brand standards and corporate expectations.

Qualifications

• Seasoned leader with experience in hotel maintenance/engineering management.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety, fire protection, and HVAC operations.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop maintenance staff in hospitality.
• Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with OSHA and local safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Manage repairs and routine maintenance of hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Oversee inventory, procurement, budgeting, safety compliance, inspections.
• Ensure safety standards for guests and secure work environment for associates.
• Hire, train, motivate, evaluate engineering staff; promote development.
• Maintain Concord Hospitality standards and protocols.
• Communicate property conditions and safety needs to General Manager and ownership.
• Lead safety programs, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation initiatives.
• Support Leadership Development Training and growth culture.
