HRI Hospitality is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team at our Dana Point property. You will supervise engineers, coordinate shifts, and lead in the Chief Engineer's absence while ensuring safe, well-maintained facilities for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years as an Engineer, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Thorough knowledge of general repairs and maintenance.
• Electrical, plumbing and HVAC knowledge is required.
• Strong supervisory, troubleshooting and hotel maintenance skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
• Coordinate engineering staff on a shift basis.
• Lead the engineering department in absence of Chief Engineer.
• Complete work orders promptly and maintain clean, orderly mechanical areas.
• Inspect public areas daily for issues and coordinate repairs.
• Perform skilled repairs using power and hand tools, welding equipment.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs and updated records.
• Assist guests in emergencies and support safety procedures.
• Lead environmentally conscious initiatives to support greening of hospitality.
