Job summary

Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking an Engineering Manager to assist the Director of Engineering in overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring safety, guest satisfaction and financial performance.

You will lead and mentor the engineering team, manage budgets and forecasts, review reports, and ensure compliance with codes and standards, while coordinating with other departments to maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Facility Management desired.
• Five or more years related progressively responsible hotel or building maintenance/facilities management experience with one year as Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.
• Ability to manage others by mentoring and ensuring results meet guest expectations.
• Strong ability to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and energy management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering in managing all Engineering activities for smooth operation and profitability.
• Interview, hire, train, and evaluate team members; plan, assign, and direct work.
• Prepare schedules, budgets, forecasts and maintain records; monitor labor costs.
• Inspect facilities, ensure safety, and comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
• Monitor and maintain maintenance programs; review guest comments and resolve issues promptly.
