Job summary

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the maintenance team and ensure safe, efficient hotel operations. The role requires strong independent work and collaboration with vendors, with responsibilities spanning building exterior, guest room systems, safety inspections, and capital projects.

You will coach staff to Hyatt service standards, manage budgets, and coordinate with corporate maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have proven leadership skills.
• 6+ years of progressive hotel or building management experience (typically with Hyatt).
• Engineering/Facility Management degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors, consultants, and contractors.
• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Inspect projects for compliance with building and safety codes.
• Coach and counsel staff to Hyatt service standards.
