Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced Engineering professional to maintain all building systems and the building envelope, ensuring guest safety and energy efficiency. You will lead the engineering department in the absence of the Chief Engineer and oversee preventative maintenance, budgeting, and records for high-volume hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Trade-certified or vocational training in one or more building trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry).
• 3+ years hands-on experience at a comparable location (hotel experience preferred).
• Knowledge of hotel operations, safety programs, budget forecasting and long-range planning.

Responsibilities

• Assume control of Engineering Department when the Chief Engineer is unavailable.
• Maintain all building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, Kitchen, Laundry, Pool).
• Follow preventative maintenance and SOPs; manage budgets and stock levels.
• Supervise and train engineering staff; ensure productivity and safety.
• Maintain records for RandM Budget, PM Programs, Capital Budget and inspections.
• Identify and address building envelope and energy efficiency opportunities.
