Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across the hotel, mentor the engineering team, and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards. You will manage vendor contracts, supervise projects, and drive preventive maintenance to support guest satisfaction and brand excellence.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with the Chief Engineer on staffing, inspections, and life-safety

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Engineer in interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling and coaching associates to standards.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Manage bids, quotes and contracts for 3rd-party vendors.
• Oversee small projects, or PIPS, and report on work progress.
• Install or repair sheet rock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures.
• Install, replace, and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and perform PMs.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on schedule and complete work orders; keep PM records.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal.
• Refurbish, paint and finish furniture and fixtures.
• Test, examine, and maintain hotel's life safety systems.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records and coordinate service contracts.
• Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and HHM EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits and wear PPE; follow MSDS and OSHA.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
