Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Doheny is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee a safe, efficient hotel environment. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering staff, prioritizing work orders, and ensuring preventive maintenance programs are followed.

Role requires 2+ years in hotel engineering, strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing knowledge, and exceptional customer service. Ability to work mornings/evenings/weekends with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as an Engineer in a hotel setting.
• Electrical, plumbing and HVAC knowledge required.
• Strong supervisory, troubleshooting and hotel maintenance skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; guest interface.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and assign tasks by priority.
• Coordinate engineering staff on shift basis.
• Act as lead in the absence of Chief Engineer.
• Complete work orders promptly.
• Maintain clean and orderly mechanical areas.
• Inspect public areas daily for issues.
• Perform repairs: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, fixtures.
• Maintain Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program with updated records.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance and chemicals.
• Use power tools and welding equipment for repairs.
• Follow emergency procedures and locate shut-offs.
• Assist guests in emergencies.
• Support environmental initiatives to green hospitality.
• Maintain inventory of heat, light, power, and maintenance supplies.
