Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead daily engineering operations and the preventive maintenance program. This full‑time role requires coordinating with the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager to ensure top‑notch guest comfort, safety, and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in hotel/HVAC systems with 1–2 years of supervisory experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and cost control.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hotel, institutional, and HVAC systems experience is highly preferred.
• 1–2 years of previous management or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, preventative maintenance systems, and all engineering-related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, maintenance, service and repair of equipment to support guest satisfaction and profitability.
• Act as Manager on Duty when Managers are unavailable.
• Oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and ensure rooms and public spaces meet Shore Hotel standards.
• Attend to emergencies and respond promptly to phone calls and alarms.
• Maintain documentation, schedules, logs and records for engineering operations.
• Prioritize work requests and communicate with supervisors to resolve issues efficiently.
