Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and building construction.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage and monitor the Synergy system and respond to service calls.
• Maintain tools, equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on guest rooms and major mechanical equipment.
• Respond to service calls within half an hour.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters and night engineer.
• Assist in training mechanical staff on equipment and daily hotel operations.
• Record readings and maintain logs.
• Comply with codes and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
