Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Ana - Orange County Airport is seeking an experienced Hotel Engineer to maintain all hotel equipment, systems and building components to ensure guest safety and comfort. You will handle HVAC, pumps, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, lighting, paint and wall coverings across the property.

The position requires basic English communication, a maintenance mindset, and availability to respond to emergencies and during weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous hotel engineer or similar maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic reading/writing in English and ability to communicate kindly with guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, guest rooms and public areas.
• Complete daily work orders and required maintenance paperwork.
• Visually inspect and test machinery/equipment and detect malfunctions early.
• Dismantle defective equipment and install parts.
• Install/repair electrical wiring and lighting fixtures.
• Repair plumbing, locks, walls, tile and wall coverings, and paint areas.
• Coordinate room maintenance with housekeeping and front desk staff.
• Provide guidance to contractors and maintenance assistants.
• Assist with setting up new equipment and move heavy boxes as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas and inventory.
