Job summary

The Langham, Boston is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee building operation and life safety for guests and colleagues. You will supervise Engineering staff, ensure optimal hotel condition, and coordinate daily activities to meet safety and maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel facilities management experience.
• 2nd Class Steam Fireman License or higher by MA Department of Public Safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of life safety and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Master life safety systems and emergency response procedures.
• On-call support for off-hours emergencies.
• Oversee Engineering in the Director of Facilities' absence.
• Perform daily property inspections and oversee maintenance.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage vendor relations.
