Job summary

Raffles Boston is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to support the Assistant Director of Engineering in daily maintenance operations. This hands-on leader guides Maintenance Engineers, ensures preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and service excellence across the property.

You will serve as a technical resource, mentor the team, assign and track work orders, respond to alarms, and participate in safety meetings while upholding guest-facing standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in facilities, building maintenance, or hotel engineering.
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring maintenance staff.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, life-safety systems knowledge.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision to Maintenance Engineers during shifts.
• Train, coach, onboard, and give performance feedback.
• Assign, monitor, and follow up on work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Escalate technical issues to the team lead as needed.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and high service standards.
• Support scheduling and coverage with the Assistant Director of Engineering.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly.
• Assist with capital projects and sustainability initiatives.
