Job summary

Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston seeks a seasoned Engineering leader to oversee maintenance, projects and infrastructure for 551 rooms. You will manage R&M and utility expenses, supervise a multi-disciplinary team, and ensure safety, compliance and exceptional guest satisfaction.

This role requires 5+ years of hospitality engineering, HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing certifications including CPO/EPA, and strong vendor and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hospitality engineering experience.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing certifications preferred; CPO and EPA certifications required.
• Expertise in life safety systems and building management.
• Strong leadership and guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee RM & Utility expenses in a safe, economical, and legal manner.
• Manage BirchStreet for RM expenses and participate in month-end forecasting.
• Supervise maintenance for public spaces, guestrooms, and equipment; use Synergy for work orders.
• Coordinate with departments to meet safety and legal standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train engineering staff in coordination with leadership.
• Recommend capital projects, obtain bids, and oversee contractors and permits.
• Ensure timely completion of work by vendors and maintain permits/licenses.
• Control department schedules, staffing, payroll, and records.
• Follow safety policies, protect assets, and maintain confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-savings.
• Schedule monthly department meetings and provide coaching and evaluations.
• Attend required training and champion Omni culture.
