Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer at Residence Inn Lynnwood to oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering division and to act in the Director’s absence on administrative, financial and operational matters related to engineering.

The role requires flexibility for long hours, scheduling, and adherence to Highgate Hotel standards, with responsibilities spanning budgets, forecasts, maintenance programs and safety compliance across guest rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local code
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and assets in safe repair
• Ensure compliance with all laws (local, state, federal)
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in service and safety
• Create and manage Engineering budgets and schedules
• Oversee preventative maintenance and energy conservation programs
• Respond to alarms and emergencies and coordinate with Front Desk and other departments
• Participate in safety committee and hotel programs
