Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality Jacksonville is seeking a Chief Engineer to maintain the hotel's physical plant, lead repairs and preventive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and life safety.

This role reports to the General Manager, oversees training, scheduling, and coordinating with contractors, and ensures safety and asset protection while upholding McKibbon's Guiding Principles. Candidates should have at least 3 years in a lead maintenance role and hotel experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a lead maintenance role preferred.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities management is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of NFPA-72 and life-safety systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of the hotel’s interior and exterior facilities.
• Lead and coach the maintenance team; train staff as needed.
• Manage repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and fire/life safety.
• Monitor service contracts and coordinate with external vendors.
• Ensure safety and compliance with local regulations and brand standards.
• Assist GM/AGM with recruiting and onboarding maintenance staff.
